Help my finch layer an egg and it's fertile buts it's on the bottom of the cage??!!!!????!!?

I candled it it is for sure a fertile egg I know that it will take a few days for her tosh the whole clutch BUT it's on the bottom of the cage will she sit on or should I just put a towel over the cage so shell feel more comfortable sitting on the egg????
