i dont think he likes you. i think he just wants to be friends. if he liked you he wouldnt seem embared in front of his friends. and youre only in middle school, just leave it alone and just develop your friendship before you start thinking about taking it further. and then later when youre older if your friends with him then maybe give it a go but if not find someone who is not afriad to have a conversation with you infront of their friends :)
