What are the supplies needed to make a quilt?

Fabric (and a rotary cutter or scissors), thread, needles, and batting. other embellishments can be added as desired and there are many other tools that can be used. You may also need a hoop for hand-quilting. Many quilters do the entire thing on their sewing machines.
