I took steroids, am i screwed?

i know theres alot of people who like using these, but im not one of them, i know about the side effects etc.. and one in particular is that if you take them when your young, your growth plates close, and you wont grow anymore. Now i went to the gym with a friend (i usually go alone, and he slipped a couple pills into my drink, and i ended up drinking it, and he only told me afterwards) he said he uses it all the time and that he only sees the positive, but what im concerned with is that im 17 and about 5 feet 9 iches tall, i really wanted to make atleast 5 10, so now that ive ingested this crap does this mean i wont grow anymore?
